Hi, Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library! The Cheese Curd Festival needs your help!

Hello Volunteer Groups!

It’s about that time again – for the biggest Cheese Curd Party on both sides of the Mississippi! Engagement and interest on Facebook is already showing that our fans are excited, too! And did you hear? The readers of the USA TODAY voted for the Top 10 ‘Best Specialty Food Festivals’ in the country and our Cheese Curd Festival came in at #10!! It will take a lot of manpower to pull this off – and that’s where you come in. To pull off a Festival of this magnitude we need about 300 volunteers over the course of the weekend. As they say, “it takes a Village.”

Save the Date! Friday and Saturday, June 23-24, 2023!

The Cheese Curd Volunteer Program will look the same as it’s looked in previous years. Base pay to your non-profit organization is $10/hour. Then, based on the success of the Festival, we will pay out a “profit-sharing bonus” on top of that. Since 2016, the Cheese Curd Festival has donated almost $100,000 back to local non-profit organizations through our volunteer program!

Shifts range from working in our Cheese Curd Central tents, to bartending, to helping with our tasting events, to working the curd-esy tents.

IMPORTANT NOTE: VOLUNTEERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FINDING THEIR REPLACEMENT IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO WORK THEIR SHIFT. IF A VOLUNTEER DOES NOT SHOW UP FOR THEIR SHIFT AND DID NOT FIND SOMEONE TO REPLACE THEM WE WILL DEDUCT THOSE HOURS FROM THE NON-PROFIT THEY SIGNED UP FOR.

As we get closer to the Festival, we will be in communication with all volunteers who have signed up for shifts with further details.
